A majestic instrument by the Marcussen company from 1859 - the magnificent case (above the impressive pulpit altar) and four stops still originate from the previous organ, which was begun by Johann Daniel Busch in 1787 and completed by Johann Andreas Mittelhäuser from Wilster.
In the 1960s, some changes were made to the disposition in a neo-Baroque manner; in 2019, comprehensive restoration work was carried out by the Beckerath company (Hamburg).
In terms of sound, the richness of the foundation stops is impressive (each manual has a Principal 8'). Literature from the Baroque period to the conservative Romantic era (Mendelssohn, Rheinberger, etc.) can be excellently performed.
