The organ was built in 1865 by P. van Oeckelen and Sons and features two manuals and an independent pedal with a total of 19 stops: nine on the main manual, six on the upper manual, and four on the pedal. In 1952-1953, the organ was restored by Mense Ruiter, and in 1980-1981, the firm Bakker & Timmenga carried out extensive maintenance. Between 1990 and 1993, it underwent a thorough restoration by Mense Ruiter.

The organ case is painted in dark ebony and adorned with gold, with two eagles on top, resembling the Van Oeckelen organ in Visvliet. This detailed craftsmanship and restoration history highlight the organ's historical and aesthetic significance.
