This site is a continuation of the now-closed virtual-organs.nl, which was active until May 2013. Founded by Dirk Swama and Jaap Plaisier with assistance from others, virtual-organs.nl quickly became popular, with sample sets being used in 16 countries. Due to personal circumstances and the increasing demand, the founders decided to discontinue the site.

To ensure the sample sets remained available, they are now offered under a Creative Commons license. This means all sets are available for free download, but no further support is provided for these sets or related topics. We hope you enjoy the free sets!
