The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oiste houses an organ with a rich history. Originally built in 1838 by Ernst Wilhelm Meyer, the organ underwent significant alterations in 1927 by the firm Faber & Grewe, which included changes to much of the pipework. The organ, which has 13 registers distributed across a manual and pedal, includes several historical elements from Meyer’s original construction, particularly in the prospekt and casework.
Further revisions were made in 1969 by the company Wolf from Verden, and the most recent work occurred in 2005, carried out by Jörg Bente Orgelbau. Despite these modifications, the organ retains a connection to its historical roots, blending elements from its original 19th-century construction with later 20th-century adaptations.
