Faber & Greve GmbH, based in Salzhemmendorf, was founded in 1863 by Heinrich Faber. In the late 19th century, the company transitioned to building pneumatic organs and frequently constructed multiplex organs. F. K. Greve later joined as a partner, but the partnership ended after 1918. In 1926, the company was taken over by Faber's sons, continuing the organ-building tradition under the family name.
