Nyker Church, also known as Ny Kirke, is one of the famous round churches on the Danish island of Bornholm. This church, located in the village of Nyker, is one of the four round churches that are unique to the island. Built around the 12th century, Nyker Church is the smallest and youngest of these round churches, and it features a distinctive circular nave and central pillar, typical of Romanesque architecture. The church's structure has a defensive character, a feature believed to have been used for protection during the medieval period. The upper floors of the church were used as storage and shelter during sieges, which adds to its historical significance.
