The 1762 organ at Hacksta Church, Sweden, is a rare and valuable instrument built by the organist and organ builder Lars Kinström and completed by his father-in-law, Jacob Westervik. This 7-stop positive organ, featuring a single keyboard and no pedals, was restored in 1790 by Matthias Swahlberg, who added a Trompet 8 stop, a bird effect, and a pull-down pedalboard. In 1841, Pehr Gullbergsson modified the organ further.
In 1932, the baroque organ was dismantled and replaced by a small pneumatic organ built by Erik Henrik Eriksson, with the historical components stored in the bell tower. Rediscovered by Swedish organ builder Tomas Svenske in the early 2000s, the original parts were meticulously restored and reinstalled in 2002. The restoration returned the organ to its 1790 condition, excluding the bird effect.
