Largest mechanical pipe organ in the world (by amount of stops). From 1885 up until 1912 the organ was considered the biggest pipe organ in the world.
It was initially built by Johann Heinrich Joachim around 1750 and Heinrich Andreas Contius in 1779 and expanded by Carl Alexander Herrmann in 1877 and Barnim Grüneberg in 1885. It has 131 registers on 4 manuals and over 7000 pipes.
Due to the valve system with various subdivisions per division, there are some stops that are duplicate in the same keyboard, but are in different subdivisions.
You can see the subdivisions at the breakpoints from reed pipes back to labial pipes in the stoplist.
