"The instrument, built by the renowned Austrian organ-building firm Rieger, was inaugurated on April 2, 2004. It consists of two organ divisions across four manuals and pedal, which can be played individually or in various combinations from the main organ’s console. The cathedral organ features 5,102 pipes and 69 stops: 57 stops sound in the main organ, while 12 stops can be controlled in the auxiliary division located in the western part of the cathedral. The largest pipe measures 8 meters, while the smallest is just 8 millimeters high. During the construction of the new organ, the organ gallery was extended over the front section of the northern side aisle. As a result, the instrument is no longer a separate, detached structure but an integral part of the cathedral's architecture. By extending the organ façade down to the respective arch supports, three distinct and intriguing visual perspectives of the organ emerge for the observer in the space. A deliberate decision was made to forgo an upper casing above the pipes. Instead, the red case moldings "pierce" through the gray arch stones.

The organ’s location allows for optimal sound projection throughout the entire church, as it is open toward both the gallery and the chancel. This makes it ideally suited for accompanying congregational singing as well as choirs performing from the gallery or chancel. At the same time, its tonal capabilities offer endless possibilities for the performance of music from all eras and styles." (Source 2)
