The organ was constructed by Hinrich Otto Paschen in Leck, Schleswig-Holstein, in 1967. Historically, the organ had witnessed various constructions and additions. In 1591, a new organ was built, preserving a part of the Renaissance design. It likely had 15 registers on its two manuals and pedal, with the second manual presumably operating a single 8' reed. The organ was expanded by a rear positive between 1650 and 1665, increasing its registers to 26.

In 1899, Emil Hansen from Flensburg remodeled the organ, during which only the facade was preserved. He inserted an organ constructed by Friedrich Ladegast in 1889 for a church in Hamburg-Eilbek, which was acquired by the congregation. In 1929, during a church renovation, the organ, originally positioned in the north gallery of the church, was moved to the west gallery.
