The organ was constructed by Siegfried Sauer from Höxter in 1997. Prior to this, there was a predecessor organ built by Emanuel Kemper. The predecessor had three manuals and pedals and 36 stops, which was constructed in 1957 with electropneumatic chest actions. In 2021, the organ underwent a general overhaul and re-voicing by Sauer & Heinemann, also based in Höxter.
