Westfälischer Orgelbau S. Sauer is an organ-building company that evolved from the Eggert Orgelbau-Anstalt, which was established by Georg Josias Eggert in 1805. Siegfried Sauer took over the company in 1973, moving it to Höxter and re-establishing it in 1999. The firm, under Sauer's leadership, built approximately 300 new organs and restored many historical ones until it declared bankruptcy in 2015. The company was then rebranded as "Sauer & Heinemann," continuing the organ-building tradition at the same location.
