The company Orgelbau Kreienbrink, a German organ building firm based in Georgsmarienhütte, was originally founded in 1841 by Ludwig Rohlfing. The roots of organ building in Osnabrück trace back to 1790, when Anton Franz Schmid established a workshop in Quakenbrück. Rohlfing took over this workshop in 1841, which led to the creation and modification of 260 organs by 1955, although few of these primarily pneumatic instruments survived the shift towards the Orgelbewegung movement that began in 1924.

In 1951, Matthias Kreienbrink joined the firm as a partner and fully acquired it in 1955, relocating the workshop to Hellern in 1957. Over his tenure, more than 500 organs were built, modified, or restored, with a focus on returning to baroque building principles, necessitating a complete overhaul of their working methods and sound ideals. Joachim Kreienbrink took over the workshop from his father in 1994, steering the company towards specializing in restorations, such as the Schulze organ in the Reformierten Kirche in Iserlohn and the Ibach organ from 1865 in Fleckenberg. The firm's headquarters moved to Georgsmarienhütte in late 2003, and after a brief period under Ansgar Kreienbrink, the company was led by Kirsten Schweimler-Kreienbrink from January 2007, with Joachim Kreienbrink continuing as the workshop director.
