The organ of the parish church of Sant Pere in Sencelles, Mallorca, was built in 1746 by Matheu Bosch, a member of the prominent Bosch family of organ builders. This baroque instrument reflects the traditional Mallorcan school and preserves nearly all of its original pipework. Influenced by Flemish and German organ building of the 15th century, its structure retains a medieval "Blockwerk" layout, divided into separate registers via a slider chest. Despite numerous interventions over the centuries, the organ has retained its historical essence. Originally, it featured a 45-note keyboard with short octave and a now-lost 16’ pedal stop. A reed stop was added in the 19th century, and a major modification in 1918 by the Cardell brothers introduced expressive shutters and repositioned the pipework, adapting it to Romantic tastes.

Between 1993 and 1995, organ builder Pere Reynés led a restoration that returned the organ to its baroque layout, reinstating original keyboard dimensions, registrations, and mixtures. In 2000, a further historically-informed restoration by Klaus Fischer and Anton Lluradó included mechanical rebuilds, harmonization of the pipework, and reconstruction of the original windchest and action. A technical committee of organists, historians, and musicians oversaw the project. The organ now has a single 49-note manual (C–c’’’ with split at c’/cs’) and a 12-note permanently coupled pedalboard. Its rich and varied registration includes traditional Mallorcan stops such as Tolosana, Baixons, and Clarins, making it a valuable instrument for both liturgical and concert use. Since its re-inauguration in 2000, it has featured in numerous concerts and recordings, including those by Montserrat Torrent and Martin Schmeding.
