The autographs of the craftsmen glued inside the valve box indicate that the organ in Prezma was built in Vilnius in 1815 and installed in Prezma Church in 1868. This single-manual instrument without pedals, designed in the Baroque tradition, is one of the best-preserved instruments of its time in Latgale. Remarkably compact, the wind chest accommodates 11 registers, all of which have survived to the present day without significant loss of pipes. The functioning Zimbelstern and the nearly original condition of the keyboard are rare features among other instruments from this period in Latgale.
Prezma's organs are undeniably one of the most valuable historical instruments in Latvia. Their exceptional preservation and unique features, such as the Zimbelstern and original keyboard, highlight their significance and rarity in the region. These aspects contribute to the instrument's historical and cultural importance, making it a noteworthy example of Latvian heritage.
