The organ of the Old Church on the North Sea island of Pellworm in Schleswig-Holstein is a late work by Arp Schnitger, built in 1711. This instrument, featuring 24 stops across two manuals and pedal, retains nearly half of its original components. Situated in the Old Church, the organ is utilized for both worship services and organ concerts, continuing its historical legacy.

The construction of the current organ in 1711 replaced earlier instruments, with a significant rebuild documented in 1525. The existing organ’s case, made of untreated oak, and many of its windchests and stops remain from Schnitger’s time, making it the only surviving Schnitger organ in Schleswig-Holstein and Lübeck. Over the years, the organ underwent various modifications and restorations. Major restoration work was done by Emil Brandt in 1954 and a comprehensive restoration by the Hillebrand workshop from 1987 to 1989, which included reconstructing lost parts and restoring the original disposition. The organ was rededicated in 1990 and underwent further maintenance in 2006 by Reinalt Johannes Klein.
