The organ was built in 1804 in the newly built church by the organ builder Matthäus Nordheim, who came from the neighboring village of Gehaus. A special feature are the movable trumpet angels, which are atypical for Central Germany, but also appear in the Protestant church in Dermbach, which was built by Johann Casper Beck. This suggests that the original organ in Oechsen also came from Beck and Nordheim only made tonal changes.
