Built for St Andrew's Presbyterian (later Uniting) Church, St George's Terrace, Perth, in 1924 by W L (William Leopold) Roberts Ltd, Adelaide, with tubular-pneumatic action, 20 speaking stops, 19 ranks and 1,100 pipes.
Action converted to Electro-pneumatic and organ rebuilt, 1953/54, J.E. Dodd & Sons Gunstar Organ Works, Adelaide. Specification at this stage does not appear to have been altered.
An elaborate plywood screen was erected in front of the organ case and the console was moved to the east transept 1957, J.E. Dodd and Sons Gunstar Organ Works.
Rebuilt, enlarged and the entire organ moved to the east (right) transept 1986 F.J. Larner & Co. The rebuild included a new console, lower and side casework, building frame, electro-pneumatic key action, solid state note switching and combination action and enlargement to 36 speaking stops and 1,664 pipes. Action, soundboards, drawstop action and bellows were retained.
New winding arrangements including 3 Schwimmer regulators and association trunks were installed by Pipe Organs W.A. in 2006. The work carried out also included installation of a new Dulciana 8' rank to the Great division, installation of full length resonators to the bass end of the Trombone 16, and 12 new Bourdon 16 pipes to the tenor compass of the rank.
The St Andrew's church building was closed in 2008 due to structural problems with the roof and it remained closed awaiting resolution of the problem. Because the building had been found to be structurally unsafe, in October 2015 the organ was removed from the church to safe storage by Pipe Organs W.A.
The organ was purchased by Divine Mercy Church and was relocated to the church on 08 October 2022.
It is undergoing rebuild by Simon W Pearce, Brisbane.
