This instrument is the former house organ of the composer and organist Charles Gounod. In 1934, the instrument was installed by Robert Boisseau in the Blind Institute in Bordeaux and was relocated to a clinic in Ambarès in 1985. After a restoration by Stéphane Pesce, the instrument has been located in the Church of Saint-Pierre in La Sauve since 2020.
