Based on the construction style of the nearby Elerne Catholic Church organ, which shows some similarities to the Jaunborne Church organ, it is hypothesized that the organ could have been built by the Daugavpils organ builder E. Schultz. However, no documentary confirmations have been found so far.

The organ's prospect was created by expanding a small mannerist-style prospect with altar side wings of the same style (possibly from the same interior), forming a "new" prospect. These parts are assembled quite robustly, using unsawn and unplaned boards. In any case, the "source material" was very old and dates back to the mannerist period. The instrument employs a rarely encountered windchest principle, which could be considered a predecessor to the kegel windchest.

The pedal action is very poorly constructed, making it practically non-functional.
