The inscription beneath the wind chest of the second manual indicates that the organ was built in 1864 by J. Rodawitz, an organ builder from Ilūkste. It is unknown when and by whom the original Trompete 8’ was replaced with a different striking trumpet register.

This is a well-crafted two-manual instrument, though it is currently in a very dirty state. The original Trompete 8’, now removed, lies on the floor beneath the organ. In its place, a striking trumpet, reportedly brought from Vilnius, has been partially installed. The treble end of this trumpet is crafted in the French style.
