There is currently no extensive information available about the history of the existing instrument, nor is it clear if there was a previous instrument. Next to the organ, there are 17 wooden pipes of unknown origin, arranged in a single register. The pipes have closed bass ends and open tops with an outer lip.
The instrument is small, reminiscent of M. Krēsliņš' works, and despite its small size, it is well-built, sonorous, and generally well-preserved. Simple technical solutions were used in its construction, but they function effectively. The builder's signature plate on the console indicates that J. Sotzki received the Jēkabmiesta medal "For successful work," although the year is not specified.
