Aa Kirke, also known as Aakirkeby Church, is one of the most historically significant churches on the island of Bornholm, Denmark. Named after two nearby streams, Aa Kirke is the largest and possibly the oldest church on the island, with its origins dating back to the second half of the 12th century. The church was constructed in several phases using sandstone and Silurian limestone in the Romanesque style, with the oldest parts being the choir and apse, and the latest addition, the Romanesque porch, completed around 1200-1225. The church's unique architecture includes a tower with two transverse saddle roofs and small stepped gables, a feature that adds to its distinct appearance.

Inside the church, the most valuable piece of inventory is a baptismal font by the Gotlandic master Sighraf, dating from around 1200. Other notable interior features include a High Renaissance pulpit and altar, both works of the Scania sculptor Jacob Kremberg from the early 17th century. The pulpit is adorned with colorful reliefs depicting significant biblical scenes, and the altar features intricate carvings, including a central crucifix and a representation of Christ’s baptism.

The current organ at Aa Kirke was built in 1965 by the renowned organ builder Marcussen & Søn, replacing an earlier instrument from 1941 made by I. Starup. This Neo-Baroque organ is equipped with 15 stops, spread across two manuals and a pedalboard, and features a tracker mechanical action. The organ’s design and construction reflect the church’s commitment to maintaining high-quality musical instruments suitable for both worship and performance. The organ's sound complements the church's historical setting, providing a rich acoustic experience that enhances the liturgical and cultural events held in this ancient and storied building.
