The organ was built by Marcussen & Søn in 1891, Opus 200. It was radically restructured in a neo-baroque style in 1959 by Kemper & Sohn from Lübeck. By 1982, organ builder Christian Lobback started a restoration process to return the instrument to its original state. During this process a slight brightening of the disposition was consciously left in place, as the original Marcussen organ did not have a single mixture. At the same time the organ was extended by two registers: an overblowing flute 4' in the main work and a third-containing mixture in the swell positive.
The central part of the organ is the original case and contains the main work. The pedal work is to the left and the positive work is to the right. The facade pipes exist only for display and are not functional.
