The organ was originally built in 1670 by an unknown builder. It underwent various repairs and renovations over the centuries, carried out by different craftsmen. Johann Andreas Mittelhäuser performed a repair in 1789. Later, in 1831, Marcussen conducted a repair and remodel of the organ. Marcussen also carried out additional repairs in 1877, 1879, 1881, and 1884. By 1960, the organ was then restored by Franz Grollmann. Lastly, the organ's play setup was repaired by Heinz Hoffmann in 1980.
