The organ was built by Emanuel Kemper & Sohn, based in Lübeck, in 1949/50. Previously, a two-manual organ was delivered by the Marcussen & Sohn company from Apenrade in 1900. After a repair in 1949/50 by Emanuel Kemper & Sohn, an expansion was made in 1958/59 to include a third manual work (back positive), necessitating a new console delivery. In 1970, the organ received six additional registers. This instrument still contains some original voices with remarkably round and rich sound. The historic prospectus had to give way to a free pipe prospectus of the Kemper company.

Unfortunately, the organ has suffered greatly from unfavorable room climate (including drying out during heating periods). Given the retained basic substance, a thorough restoration would be both sensible and desirable. Sadly, the organ has been silent for approximately 20 years. The congregational singing is now accompanied by an Allen Digital Organ positioned in front of the altar area.
