The pipe organ was constructed by Emanuel Kemper & Sohn in 1978. In 2006, the organ was expanded and remodeled. Until that year, it had a Rückpositiv (a specific set of pipes), which was moved to the wall, behind the pedal and main casing, transforming it into a Schwellpositiv (a type of enclosed division of pipes). This is why the organ was moved into the balustrade. A photo from before the remodeling shows the organ with the Rückpositiv.
