The organ was constructed by Orgelbau Günter Braukmann around 1970. It was rebuilt using parts of the predecessor instrument, including the façade and pipework. In 2001, the Paschen firm from Kiel renovated the instrument, reworked the intonation, and renewed the complete mechanisms including the console. The historical casing of the predecessor organ came from Orgelbau Färber (Tönning) in 1882.
