The Organ was constructed by Marcussen & Søn, Apenrade in 1874. In 1917, some of the pipes were utilized for defense purposes. The exact timing is unknown, but possibly shortly after World War II, the layout of the organ was redesigned. In 1987, a renovation took place which included inserting new shiny pipes made from tin by Hinrich Otto Paschen, Kiel. This renovation did not restore the organ back to its original state but rather "the disposition changed by previous modifications ... was hardly altered and only somewhat 'straightened'" (quote from the church guide available in the church). In 2011, the organ was cleaned.
