The pipe organ was constructed by Marcussen & Søn in 1866. In 1948/49, alterations were made to the organ by Emanuel Kemper & Son in Lübeck, as described in "Musik und Kirche", where it is referred to as a "complete overhaul". The resulting arrangement is detailed below. In 1974, the company Becker (Kupfermühle) added a Rückpositiv (a small organ located behind the organist) and expanded the organ.
