The organ was constructed by Marcussen & Søn in 1880. At an unknown time, it underwent a neo-baroque remodeling. In 1993, Ulrich Babel of Gettorf undertook an overhaul of the organ's tracker action system and replaced the facade pipes made of zinc with tin pipes.
