The organ was constructed by Hinrich Wiese, from Schuby, and was reconstructed by Klaus Becker, from Kupfermühle, within the years of 1698-99 and 1978-80. The organ remained unchanged since its establishment in 1688/89. However, it became unplayable during the 19th century and gradually lost all its pipe work. The original parts that have been preserved include the casing, wind chests of RPos and HW, majority of the tractions, keyboards of RPos (with ivory coating on the lower keys) and the pedal. The pedal chests were reconstructed based on original fragments found. The disposition was reconstructed using the old register slips, which were made readable again under a paintwork. The tuning was computed as a modified mean-tone based on the lengths of the prospect pipes.
