Dieter Noeske (born March 8, 1936, in Wriezen; died November 23, 2020, in Rotenburg an der Fulda) was a German organ builder and the founder of the Rotenburg organ workshop. The origins of the Rotenburg workshop trace back to Johannes Vogt (born January 24, 1774, in Brotterode; died February 24, 1833, in Rotenburg an der Fulda), who was active as an organ builder from 1804 to 1832. After Vogt's death, his son Jacob Vogt was too young to take over, so Vogt's son-in-law, Friedrich Bechstein, took over the workshop. Valentin Möller, who learned organ building from his uncle Johannes Vogt, eventually took over the business in 1855. The company remained in the family for four generations until 1964, transitioning through Heinrich, August, and Heinrich II.

Dieter Noeske, son of merchant Berthold Noeske, received piano and violin lessons as a child. He learned organ building from 1951 to 1954 under Karl Gerbig in Eberswalde and worked as a journeyman until 1955. He then spent his journeyman years specializing in intonation at the Karl Schuke Berlin Organ Workshop (1955-1960). At 23, he became the manager of August Möller's organ workshop in Rotenburg, which had a rich tradition in organ building. In 1964, Noeske passed his master craftsman examination with Paul Ott and took over the Rotenburg firm. Since 2008, Peter Kozeluh, who joined the workshop in 1986 and passed his organ building exam in 1990 and master examination in 1994, has been a partner and managing director.
