The Blomberg family, specifically the firm of Leopold Blomberg (1831-1900) and his sons Adam Andrzej (1857-1911) and Edward Andrzej (1866-1900), were renowned organ builders based in Warsaw. The Blomberg organ-building company operated from 1854 to 1911, undergoing several name changes throughout its history. Initially, from 1854 to 1882, the company was known as "Leopold Blomberg." It then became "L. Blomberg i Syn" from 1882 to 1894, "Synowie Blomberg" from 1894 to 1895, "Bracia Blomberg" from 1895 to 1901, and finally, from 1901 to 1911, Adam Andrzej Blomberg managed the firm independently while retaining the established name.
During its operational years, the Blomberg firm built approximately 200 organs, as well as an unspecified number of harmoniums, which were likely produced between 1854 and 1895. The company's influence and craftsmanship left a significant mark on the organ-building tradition in Warsaw, with their instruments being known for their quality and durability. Despite the eventual bankruptcy of the firm around 1904, the Blomberg organs continued to be recognized and appreciated for their exceptional craftsmanship.
