Alfred Führer (1905-1974) was a prominent German organ builder whose workshop in Wilhelmshaven operated until 2003. After starting his own business in 1933, he focused on restoring and building organs with mechanical action. Führer built over 700 new organs and restored numerous historical ones, striving to maintain or return to the original conditions.
His workshop gained a reputation for solid craftsmanship and the use of high-quality materials. After Führer's death, the business was managed by Fritz Schild and Führer's widow, Liddy. Despite its initial success, the company eventually faced financial difficulties and closed in 2003, with former employees continuing the legacy through new ventures.
